Making a Dry Martini

So I followed along to "How To Make a Dry Martini with Gin" as I look to work out exactly what cocktails I can make well and what cocktails I cannot and I am pleased to say with the expert advice on the post I managed to do quite well!

If you want to make a dry martini that looks just as good just follow the simple steps below:

"A Dry Martini is one of the true tests of a bartenders skill as it is one of the cocktails that creates most discussion on how the perfect Martini should be served.

Classically its is made with 50ml Gin, usually a dry Gin such as Beefeater and then 15ml of Dry Vermouth.

Before you start, you should have your martini glass filled with ice and soda to chill the glass.

Then add the 50ml of Gin and 15ml of Dry Vermouth into a Cocktail Beaker and stirred with ice.

Then empty the ice in the martini glass and strain the Gin and Dry Vermouth.

After this you would typically garnish with Lemon Zest and then a Lemon Twist to finish or with a skewer of olives which would create the ‘Dirty Martini’

Whichever way you decide, a chilled glass and a chilled Martini always goes down a treat and looks sophisticated while you do it!"
